The fourth and last round of the UISP Italian Championship took place in Rome. The track of âśModellismo 2002âť offered a good grip thanks to the sugarwater used on the asphalt. 40 drivers participated in this race divided into the usual classes: Modified, 13.5T No Timing F1 and 13.5T No Timing F2. This race must decide the 13.5 F1 Italian Champion while the title has already been assigned in the other classes: Piluzza won 13.5 F2 Class and I won the Modified Class. Weather was perfect and this time we had nice temperatures, 25° maximum on the air.

Qualifying Mod:
My car was very fast and allowed me to make the new track record and to take the pole position. Macchioni was 2nd and Brunelli 3rd but the fight between us was very tight.
Rossi was the leader in F1, winning every qualification round taking the pole position in front of Vignolini and Collina. In F2 Manni was TQ followed by De Caro and Piacere.

Mod Finals:
The finals were exciting and lively in Modified Class. In the first final I had a tight fight first with Macchioni and than with Brunelli but I was able to win the final. In the second final I was containing Macchioni better then the first final when I did a mistake that allowed to Macchioni to win the final in front of Brunelli and I was 3rd. In the last final Brunelli overtaked Macchioni in the first laps and we started a very tight fight. We were so closed that Brunelli touched me lightly. Macchioni took advantage of our accident and won the last final obtaining the final victory of the race and the 3rd place in the championship.

F1 finals:
In F1 Rossi won the first two finals getting the victory of this race while Vignolini won the last final. Collina arrived 2nd and Vignolini 3rd. Vignolini with this result becomes the new F1 Italian Champion.
